Developing an N-BODY Simulation! Part 1

Koding w/ K

Hey guys, in this video I want to take you on a journey though the late 90s and early 2000s. My first programming language was QBASIC and that's what I use to develop an n-body sim! Only the modern interpretation called FreeBASIC!

Get TIKO: https://github.com/PaulSquires/tiko
The project is developed by a single guy so it can act up at time. Make sure to place the downloaded folder in its destination BEFORE you start the program. Otherwise the paths to the files it needs will be wrong and you have to dive into the config file to change them.

If you prefer your own editor you can also just install the FreeBASIC compiler. I believe there are FreeBASIC addons for VS Code and stuff to get a fairly similar experience to TIKO. Haven't tried them though.
